[ Davey's not going to even guess why the reply took so long. He can imagine with probably far too much accuracy that Jack shoved his foot into it and now they're dealing with the fallout. ] He's certainly implied it. If not by words the recent sulking was a big giveaway.
[Why was Jack sulking? Sure, maybe he'd remembered a bad memory, but he's the one that decided to start rubbing salt in the wounds... he's the one that made the bed he now sleeps in.]
If he's sulking, he's only got himself to blame. He's the one making the choice to have a tantrum every time he remembers something.

For someone who argues about not wanting anything to these memories, he sure is letting it affect him deeply. [ Kath can’t see it, he’s sure she can imagine his massive accompanying eye roll in exasperation ] I only wish he'd talk about whatever's bothering him instead of vaguely complaining about it.
[It's not that she's trying to throw Jack under the bus here--she doesn't know why Jack hasn't told Davey anything. But she certainly knows that she doesn't want to tell him about her role in all of it for that same reason...]
