[There are some weeks where Kath spends more time at the library than she does at her own house. Luckily this isn't one of those weeks, but she still looks up at it fondly as she climbs out of her car, finding a bench nearby to take a seat on. She doesn't know exactly when to expect Baren, but that's okay; as always, she's got plenty to work on!
When Baren turns up, she's reading a text on her tablet, frowning slightly and gently chewing on the end of the pen she's taking notes with (not hard enough to even leave marks on said pen, much less break it open, but enough so that she's deep in concentration!). But if he gives it a moment, she'll notice he's there and tuck everything away quickly enough!]
He's got half a mind to believe that Kath will probably take over the world one day - he just hopes that he manages to get free of her father's beliefs before that happens. Still, this is probably nicer than he ever was when they were dating as he walks over to her, bouquet of roses in hand.
[She hadn't thought that Baren was lying to her with his offer, but it's still surprising to see him approaching her with the roses in hand. Katherine smiles to see it, tucking tablet, notebook, and pen back into her purse and standing to meet him.]
