I haven't, yet. To be honest, I've been so preoccupied with finals and the end of term, especially with the nightmare that was last week, that I doubt I would have realized even if I had.

Should I take this text to mean that you have?

[A glance at the clock, a check of her notes. The term is officially over now, so all she has is her work for the firm...]

Any time is fine. As long as I'm keeping on top of my assigned tasks, Father won't mind if I step out to visit with you.

Would you like to meet somewhere?

There's a coffee shop I know that I've grown fond of. I'll text you the address and meet you there in an hour?

[And sure enough, Kath will be at the coffee shop in an hour's time, ordering a latte from the front counter and looking around for Rosalind. Even though the two of them are cousins, she doesn't know enough about her to know whether she's the type to be frustratingly punctual or the sort that gets caught up in her work to the extent of blocking out the world around her.

But if she sees Rosalind sitting anywhere, she'll certainly make her way over. If not, then it's no trouble to find a spot for the two of them.]

[She's very punctual, as it happens, and the moment she sees Katherine walk in, she lifts a hand, waving her over. She's gotten her a hot chocolate, in the vague thought that Katherine is young and would enjoy a sweet drink, but Rosalind herself is sipping at tea.]

Work on anything interesting today?

[She isn't wrong! There's a sheepish smile that comes to her face as she joins Rosalind, though; it looks as though she'll be having two drinks this afternoon. Maybe once the latte comes up, she can ask for a to-go cup and take it back with her to the office...?]

Not today. It's all been cease and desist letters and copyright claims. I heard one of the associates having what seemed to be an interesting meeting with a divorcing couple, but... I can't say I wanted to know the sordid details of their love affairs.

[She takes a moment to inhale the scent of the hot chocolate before taking a sip.]

What about you? Has anything interesting happened in the labs lately?

Beyond my attempts at analyzation of this app? I've learned I'm never going to teach an undergraduate class again, if I can help it.

. . . but the labs aren't where the most interesting things have been happening. I've started regaining memories.

[She says it so primly, so no-nonsense, that it almost makes up for how absurd that sounds.]

More specifically, memories of a man. A man I was, ah, particularly fond of.

[There's a laugh from Kath when Rosalind airs her frustrations with her undergraduates, but when she mentions a man, Kath's eyebrows raise so far they almost disappear into her bangs.]

A man? I have to say, that isn't the sort of thing I would have expected you, of all people, to remember right away.

[Rosalind's married to her work, it seems. Wouldn't a man only be a distraction?]
